My name is Gareth Pritchard and the Head Instructor at Denbighshire Taekwondo & Family Martial Arts Centre.
Fully qualified and registered instructor with the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain and the British Taekwondo Council. Fully insured and DBS approved to work with children and adults.
Coach to Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish, British, European and World Champions.

I began teaching my clubs in 2001 and my students have been very successful in both gradings and tournaments to go to winning local North Wales tournaments to becoming World Champions.
My aim is for the students to go from strength to strength on the very rewarding path of Taekwondo.

I began training in Taekwondo just before I turned 4 years of age at the Ruthin club in January of 2002.
I achieved my black belt in April 2007at the age of 9, the youngest from our clubs to do so at the time.
I compete regularly in tournaments locally and Internationally and am fortunate enough to have been chosen by Master Peros (Welsh Team Coach) to represent Wales from March 2017 onwards.

I began assisting with the instruction of classes in 2014 and enjoyed helping the junior students learn new patterns and develop their Taekwondo skills. I enjoy passing my knowledge on to other students and watching their development.
Lea Edwards - 3rd Dan
Lea is a 3rd degree black belt and has been training in Taekwondo for many years. Lea is a TKD Tigers instructor and families class assistant and really enjoys helping the younger students Taekwondo skills develop.
Abbie Pritchard - 1st Dan
Abbie is a 1st degree black belt and began training in Taekwondo at the beginning of 2014. Since then Abbie has become the Welsh, English, British, European and WTA World Champion in her patterns divisions.
Hannah Thomas - 1st Dan
Hannah has an excellent standard of Taekwondo becoming ,Welsh, English & British Champion in patterns and sparring since she started Taekwondo. Hannah just recently won her 4th British title in a row! Hannah really enjoys passing on her skills and knowledge to the students.
Lewis Byles - 1st Dan
Lewis is a 1st Degree black belt and during his time training in Taekwondo he has become the Welsh, English, Scottish and British Champion. Also winning Silver and bronze medals on European and World level. Lewis really enjoys helping the younger students at the classes.
Haydon Hughes - 1st Dan
Haydon achieved his Black Belt with us in April of 2019 and he has improved so much in the last 12 months. He trains up to 4 times a week and is a great role model in the class. He really enjoys helping the younger students in the class.
Chloe Washington - 1st Dan
Chloe is a great member of our S.T.A.R Team and our first female member, so well done Chloe.
She enjoys helping with the teaching of the juniors in the class and a great addition to the Team!
Oliver Thomas - 1st Kup
Oliver is our first coloured belt on the S.T.A.R. Team. He should be grading in April of 2020 for his Black Belt if he continues to train as hard as he does at present. Over the past 12 months Oliver's Taekwondo has improved very much and he enjoys demonstrating his skills to the younger students and helping them where he can.

To be one of our Team Members you must be a red belt or above, be under 15 years old, train at least twice a week, have a love for Taekwondo, train hard every session that you attend, have a great attitude at every class and enjoy helping the younger members of our clubs!
