My name is Gareth Pritchard and the Chief Instructor and owner at Denbighshire Taekwondo & Family Martial Arts Centre.
Fully qualified and registered instructor with the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain and the British Taekwondo Council. Fully insured and DBS approved to work with children and adults.
Coach to Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish, British, European and World Champions.
I began teaching my clubs in 2001 and my students have been very successful in both gradings and tournaments to go to winning local North Wales tournaments to becoming World Champions.
My aim is for the students to go from strength to strength on the very rewarding path of Taekwondo.
Fully insured and DBS approved to work with children and adults.
I began training in Taekwondo just before I turned 4 years of age at the Ruthin club in January of 2002.
I achieved my black belt in April 2007 at the age of 9, the youngest from our clubs to do so at the time.
I compete regularly in tournaments locally and Internationally and am fortunate enough to have been chosen by Master Peros (Welsh Team Coach) to represent Wales from March 2017 onwards. I won the Heavyweight World title at the 2023 World Championships.
I began assisting with the instruction of classes in 2014 and enjoyed helping the junior students learn new patterns and develop their Taekwondo skills. I enjoy passing my knowledge on to other students and watching their development.
